29 May 2010 - An Evening of Motorsport with Tony Southgate


The Isle of Wight Car Club in conjunction with the Quay Arts Centre, Newport have been lucky enough to secure an evening with Tony Southgate, a prolific figure within international motorsport.

Event: An Evening of Motorsport with Tony Southgate

Venue: Quay Arts, Newport Quay

Date: Monday 21st June

Time: Buffet from 7pm, Talk commences 8pm

Price: Quay Arts Café Buffet and Talk £10. Buffet includes a mouthwatering selection of dishes using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Menu is at the bottom of this email. Should you be unable to attend until later, Talk Only tickets are available for £3 (talk commences 8pm)

Tickets: Available from Quay Arts on 01983 822490 from Tuesday 1st June. Box Office Open 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday.

Tony Southgate has led an extinguished career in international motorsport, from building and racing his own 750 Motor Club race car in the early 1960’s to designing the 1988 and 1990 24 Hour Le Mans winning Jaguars. His career has spanned several arms of motorsport, from Formula 1, to the Indianapolis 500 and designing the iconic Ford RS200.

Numbers are limited for this event and it is being promoted to all the relevant motoring related clubs on the Island, so to avoid disappointment, early booking is strongly recommended.
